Gather to celebrate Gloria’s homecoming.
Gloria M. Wood died peacefully in her home surrounded by family and loved ones April 10th, 2022. Gloria was born to Manuel Gomes and Alice (Pelletier) Gomes, in Lowell Massachusetts. Retired From Motorola, was an English as a second language teacher and an avid quilter for the non-profit Arizona Blankets for Kids. She Was Generous, Loved her family, Optimistic, Ready to play golf, Independent, and Adventurous. She traveled to many countries around the world. She has made her final trip to heaven and leaves behind 2 daughters (Christine & Susan), 2 Sons (Bruce & Joe), 2 Stepsons (Terry & Kent), 6 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren. She is survived by 2 Brothers (Paul & David). Her crystal blue eyes and loving smile will forever be in our hearts. In lieu of flowers please donate to AZ Blankets for Kids or Charles Gomes Memorial Scholarship. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4:00pm at Rock Church Apache Junction; 555 W. Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85120. A Memorial Service will be held following the Gathering at 5:00pm.
